Local Missions
Community Pregnancy Center
We support the Middletown Community Pregnancy Center because of its passion to defend the unborn and help mothers in difficult situations. Their mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, uphold the sanctity of human life, promote sexual purity for all, and care for those hurt by abortion. This focus fits very closely with the purpose of our church. Because the mission of the CPC is so close to the heart of UBC, we financially contribute to their efforts and encourage our members to be involved.
When CPC counselors share the gospel with clients, people have the opportunity to come to know Christ and our counselors grow closer to him by “being Jesus” to those in need. Through volunteering with the CPC, UBC members experience the thrill of helping those in need, leading individuals to Christ, and overcoming obstacles to sharing their faith with others.
No-Sew Blankets
Provides No-Sew Blankets to the Atrium Medical Center Emergency Room to hand out to young children to provide comfort in a time of distress. A CHAOS service project during 310 weekend, supplemented by other UBC members throughout the year. UBC volunteers cut out, assemble, package the No-Sew Blankets and pray for those receiving a blanket. A note wishing the child and their family well and a speedy recovery is included.
Love Packages
UBC sends used educational materials (primarily Sunday School literature) to Love Packages. Love packages serves the body of Christ around the world by supplying Bibles, books, and Sunday School literature that is unobtainable in their countries. A UBC volunteer collects UBC’s used and left over literature and prepares it for pick up by a Love Package’s representative.
