Adult Ministry
Chaos is the title of our student ministry. It stands for “Confessing Him As Our Savior.” This theme is derived from Romans 10:9: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Chaos exists to evangelize and disciple students as well as provide opportunities to do ministry. We have several established programs and events that help us achieve these goals. They include weekly, monthly, and annual activities.
We understand that it is our role to aid parents and guardians by providing support as they disciple their students. By attending Chaos events, students are encouraged to be personally devoted followers of Christ. We know that when students genuinely follow Christ, they will be his light at home, in school, and among their peers.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Chaos meets every Sunday morning to engage in Bible study designed to promote spiritual understanding that leads to maturity. Students are divided into three grade groups: 7th-8th, 9th-10th, 11th-12th. Our Chaos teachers invest in the overall ministry, so it is normal to find them on many of our other student events.
Chaos (Wednesday Nights)
Our Wednesday night program runs from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. It is primarily designed to be an outreach event for students to invite their friends. We begin with a game or ice breaker activity to help students get acquainted with one another. We also provide snacks and drinks in a café style setting where students can talk before we begin our worship and Bible study time. The main goal of every Wednesday is to share Christ in a straightforward and engaging way.
Chaos Praise Team
The Chaos praise team rehearses weekly and leads each Wednesday night gathering. They also minister by leading worship occasionally for the entire church on Sunday morning and on our annual mission trip to Gulf Shores. If a student enjoys music and wants to grow in worshiping Jesus, he or she is welcome to join us. Other students serve with sound, set-up, and media.

Gulf Shores Mission Trip
Every summer, Chaos travels to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week of missions. They work along side a ministry team known as Barefoot Believers to engage in ministry designed to reach the local community as well as vacationing families. UBC students lead day camps and host block parties in campgrounds. They also provide VBS for a daycare facility and help with a community outreach program in the afternoons. Another exciting component is “Beach Reach” in which students interact and share the gospel with vacationers on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
310 Weekend
Based upon Philippians 3:10, this fall retreat encourages students to “know Jesus intimately, live life victoriously, and serve others sacrificially.” During this time together, students experience powerful times of worship and engaging messages from the Word. They also have opportunities to do service projects. The event is held at a local camp so it includes recreational outdoor activities.
